Dietitian in a Flash contains over 630 flashcards that cover the basic ideas and principles for all domains questioned on the RDN exam including the NCP format. The 4.25” x 3.5” cards are made from a durable card stock and each card is individually numbered according to its domain to make studying easier. A clinical and foodservice calculations answer sheet is also provided.

RD in a Flash is a set of materials designed to prepare registered dietitians (RDs) to sit for the registration exam. These flashcards were developed by David Levitch, an RD who scored in the 98th percentile on his own RD exam. Levitch gathered the information in these cards for himself prior to the examination and used the prototype for the RD in a Flash as his main tool for review.
These cards are printed on a heavy paper stock. The questions are on one side and the answers on the reverse side. Each individual card is labeled with the corresponding section in the RD exam. I was surprised to see, “In blood clotting, what is the role of vitamin K?,” after all of these years.
Perhaps surprised at seeing a familiar question is more accurate. Some of the basics of nutrition haven’t changed since earlier decades in the 20th century. However, I also reviewed questions on homocysteine, HIV, and microwave cooking. Okay, I reviewed all 600+ questions. These cards include facts on new topics in nutrition and highlight old topics that deserve a new emphasis.
Reviewing these cards was a great refresher on diverse subject matter within the field of nutrition. For dietitians with significant experience, this
information is an easy way to “fill in the blanks.” It’s daunting to remain
current in every area of nutrition. Most RDs find their profession leads them into one, two, or maybe three of the original “domains” of nutrition. RD in a Flash is a great way to cut to the chase and bone up on the most important facts in those other domains you do not work in every day.
I recommend RD in a Flash to student dietitians preparing for the exam, and veteran RDs. Everyone can profit from these cards and will take away the information most beneficial to their own situation.

When will I receive my cards?
The flashcards are sent through the United States Postal Service via Priority Mail (2-3 day delivery). Once payment is received, the cards are usually shipped within 1-3 business days.
What is the group discount?
Groups of 5-9 orders receive a 10% discount off the retail price of the cards. Groups with 10+ receive a 15% discount.
What is the return policy?
You have 7 days from the postmarked date on the Priority Mail envelope to return the flashcards. The cards should be in the same condition when received by Dietitian in a Flash.
